I just have the sudden need of a reinvention.

I just have the sudden need of a reinvention.
I just have the sudden need of a reinvention.

I dunno but I guess I’m back to twitting.

The question is, what’s next for me?

What’s next for FASHION DOOHICKEy?

What’s next for Jourdane?

I want more from this blog so along with this post is a list of the things I shall have achieved before the year ends.

My goals.

• to reach 100 subscribers
to have blog popularity
• get a new digital camera (this explains why my site is full of gossip and NOT personal style) Perez much?!
• to hate love my imperfections (I gained a lot of weight)
• to buy sew lotsa trendy clothes
• uhm. World peace?

Was talking with my bestfriends, Earl and Carlito, a while ago and they told me that I sould unleash the tiger in me. Meow? But what can I do? Only if my life is that glittery (Seriously folks, a fashionistas life is a hard, busy, and sometimes complicated life).

Well, we’ll see, we’ll see.

(forgive me I'm having a moment here)

the picture on top with Ollie Edwards by the way is from Exit Magazine, i think they did a splendid job portraying Jeremy Scott's vision of Adidas. I find the editorial very cute, and yes, Ollie too.

Anyhoo. Gotta run, still have a rocket to catch.

Cheers!

I have a heart

I have a heart
I have a heart

This is a very good time to post this, and since i am starting to post again, I'm also one to take a break from all the fashion craziness, boys, and all that jazz; to post something that would stir social awareness. I may not have a gazillion readers but it's a start. Please do read this, this was forwarded to me and I want to know what you think.

I'm sure you've all heard, and half of you are on, Twitter right now. As social media becomes increasingly relevant in today's culture, it's interesting to see how it can be used to help social activism.

II've made no secret of the fact that the genocide in Darfur is something I feel strongly about; the lack of empathy and regard for human life is ridiculous and needs to stop. However, it can only be stopped if attention is brought to it. And we're going to make it a topic.

How Twitter works is by using a #, it defines a word and sets it apart as a topic. All statements also have to be in a 140 character limit. So I've prepared for you 100 statements, hashtag included, about Darfur that are under 140 characters. 85 are posted today, and more will be on Monday.

On Wednesday, July 29th, (and the days after) I want you to tweet as many of these messages as you can.. space them out, come up with them of your own, tell your friends to... basically, make Darfur a topic. It's an easy way to make a change using the internet an bring attention to something that so desperately needs it.

If you repost this article in your blog, tweets & explanation, let me know and I will link you at the bottom of this post.

I have nothing to say about the facts, except that they are all verified and pretty much speak for themselves... when ironically, the Darfuri people can't.

1) What do 400,000+ people have in common? They were all murdered in the genocide in #Darfur. http://www.standcanada.org/

2) Ignoring the Holocaust didn’t make it go away. Save #Darfur.

37) re: Unicef: “As of September 2008, 144 humanitarian compounds [have been] broken into [in #Darfur.]”

38) Attacks on convoys means that 180,000 people in #Darfur may not receive expected clean water supplies this year

39) How long the genocide in #Darfur has been going on for is disputed, but the fact that 100s of 100,000s have died isn’t.

40) Why should you care abou #Darfur? Why shouldn’t you care about #genocide?

41) Calling #Darfur a genocide is the difference between a UN intervention and political apathy. Call #Darfur what it really is.

42) Aid serves an important role in providing for the people of #Darfur, but it will not effectively address the root causes of the conflict.

It's about time that an update is made with male models and I'm sorry to hear that David Ghandy does not top the list anymore. Just this recently, Forbes announced this year's top 10 most successful models in the biz. Well we all know who bagged the spot.

Sean O'Pry

Yeahp, he took the number one spot alright. Can't say trash about this cause i absolutely agree. I think that Sean has a very interesting face. His face is so versatile that it would fit the vintage 60's pin up model to this modern day Romeo. A-mazing. Utterly amazing, too bad Ash Stymest din't really bag a spot. Maybe he's in the twenties or something. Anyway, these are the other top model contenders completing the cycle of 10.

2 Matt Gordon 3 David Gandy 4 Danny Schwartz

5 Garrett Neff 6 Ollie Edwards 7 Tyler Riggs

8 Jon Kortajarena 9 Tyler Fuchs 10 Cole Mohr

Vogue UK featuring Sasha Pivovarova

I just love it when Sasha Pivovarova would grace the pages of any fashion magazine. She's just amazing, totally bloggable.

I've been searching the net for what's next for Vogue, apparently not all was appealing to me, Vogue UK however made a splendid job. There's 4 things i love in this cover, first of course is Sasha Pivovarove, second is her dress by Balenciaga (truly a statement dress), and third is, well, Patrick Demarchelier. He is a very very good photographer, and a popular one. Im kinda iffy on getting a copy of this issue.

Also featured in this issue is the young Brit designer William Tempest and his success story..

Truly, we are welcoming a generation of new designers. I wonder who the next YSL will be?

Cheers!

No I don't think, I know, I KNOW he is the epitome of hotness, oh god, I just have the feeling that Ash Stymest won't be gracing the pages of my blog in months time. Ha.

I've just seen Harry Potter and much too much much to my dismay i find the movie highly disappointing, i don't know what's wrong with the producers of the movie, maybe J.K. Rowling have no control over what scenes are to be edited out or something like that.

Anyway, even if the movie didn't go as i expected, i was, however, not prepared for Cormac McLaggen. My God! I died, I died the first time i saw Cormac, or Freddie for that matter. My jaw dropped and i knew that moment on that I would have a change in earthly obsession. Ha.

take a look at this..

This video was taken last year when Freddie Modeled for Acne Underwear. Oooher, not only does he know how to play Quidditch, He knows how to dance too! Isn't he just utterly too too?!

What do you think ladies and fembots?! will he make it to your list of gorgeous english men?!

Well? Tell me what you think..

Cheers!
